We care about our people and offer a comprehensive salary and benefits package.  Employees are paid weekly and receive 2 paid breaks per shift, safety shoe and glass allowances are also provided.  We offer tuition reimbursement and a 401k program with 50% company match up to 6%.


Paid Time Off

New hires are eligible for paid time off after 60 days and continue to accrue vacation based on years of service up to a maximum of 4 weeks.  In addition, we offer 10 paid holidays and 2 paid personal days which are available to be used in 1-hour increments.

KSM provides a full insurance package including Medical, Dental and Vision insurance.  We also provide company paid short term disability and employees are eligible for these programs following 60 days of employment.

This position includes conveyor line (continuous) paint line operations, requiring the Helper to load, mask, unload, stack & wrap finished parts, as well as supporting batch system prepping for larger items to be painted.  There are times when you will work in teams and others when you are working alone. Ability to work with hoists and lift assists, as well as manual lift requirements of up to 35 pounds. Print reading a plus.

Duties include: Set up and resistance weld (spot) weld, mild and stainless steels. ability to read and interpret complex customers prints. Material 18 ga. – 10ga. Work includes spot welding of both small and large sized weldments including use of fixtures and welding sequence capabilities. Use of press and rocker arm type spot weld equipment with programmable (Entron) controls. Machines ranging from 75–150 KVA as well as new portable 23 KVA spot weld gun.  Ability to read and interpret customer drawings to AWS, ASME and/or NAVSEA specs. Previous resistance welding a plus. Gathering of piece parts after paint for light weight panels, doors, shelves for our customers products. May include, but not limited to the use of light weight hand tools, pneumatic or battery powered rivet tools, small press equipment. Installation of gasket material.  See HR for more information.

Duties include:

Able to review prints and related documentation to perform the following tasks: drill and tap operations, hardware component insertion, machine load/unload, shearing machine operation, sheet metal rolling, and assist in department as required. Previous use of measuring devices a plus.

Duties include:  Set up and operate and maintain Robotic Weld Cell, including setup of fixtures, basic operator preventive and curative maintenance on robotic systems and components, and maintaining safe and efficient operations to consistently drive efficiencies and high-quality parts. Capable to set up and weld GMAW in mild steel, (stainless and aluminum alloys a plus); ability to read and interpret customers prints, follow work instructions, and perform basic measurements. Work includes robotic welding of both small and large sized weldments including use of fixtures. The Robotic welder will work with the welding engineering and robotics team to ensure programs are running smoothly and efficiently. Ability to certify to AWS and ASME specs.  Familiarity with Genesis systems/Fanuc and/or Miller/Panasonic Robots and programming capability a plus.

Duties include:

Ability to set up and operate manual welding equipment, interpret blueprints, ensure quality control, and work together with team members to meet production goals. Primarily MIG welding on mild steel from 20 gauge up to 1/4-inch thickness. Stainless and aluminum welding competency a bonus. You’ll also be responsible for basic machine maintenance, optimizing welding sequences, following standard work, and performing one over one inspection with fellow welders. Use of precision and conventional measuring tools is required, in addition to following all safety rules and safe working practices.
